Release history

The current public history starts with the release that added English. Older experimental version numbers remain in Git but are not mixed into the current download history.

0.7.49

  • Repeating patches and streaks are gone from the surface: three independent causes were found and each one closed.
  • The random-number formula behind the micro-relief is no longer symmetric, so the surface stops mirroring itself.
  • The noise image behind the colour is four times larger, holds sixteen times more detail and tiles across the world four times less often.
  • Patch edges gained natural roughness instead of the shape of the lattice cells.
  • The look of the surface now follows the world number and is reproduced from it exactly.
  • Frame rate did not suffer: three paired measurements showed the new build is not slower than the previous one. Loading takes about a quarter of a second longer.
  • The expanded diagnostics panel moved up and to the right and is no longer covered by the game buttons.

0.7.48

  • The carrier count in the extractor and workshop panels now works both ways: lower it and the surplus hands finish their load and leave the shift.
  • Zero carriers switches the building off: every robosoma is released and picks up other work on its own.
  • Nothing is lost on the way out - a hand carries its load to the warehouse first and is released only after delivering it.
  • Fixed a long-standing defect where a released robosoma stayed at the head of the gate queue and blocked everyone behind it.
  • The rule applies equally to the player colonies and to the opponent.

0.7.47

  • The rocket is now a building for navigation: robosomas of both sides walk around it by the radius of its legs and no longer get stuck at a landing foot.
  • The reason this bug kept coming back is gone: the pass granted to disembarking crew used to switch off the ship legs along with everything else nearby.
  • The ramp lowers once per match: loading a save keeps it down instead of replaying the animation.
  • Avoidance now accounts for the ramp: you cannot crawl under it from above, while in first-person view you can walk up it and enter the ship.
  • The save format moved to RSAVE012; older saves still load and the ramp position is inferred for them.

0.7.46

  • The main screen was rebuilt: a panel on the left carries the game title and a short account of what the game is, the menu sits on the right.
  • Buttons became noticeably larger and take the height that freed up: on a 1920x1080 screen a button grew from 99 to 137 pixels.
  • Neither the title nor the menu is pressed against the screen edge any more — each block has its own margins and its content is centred inside it.
  • The game description is localised and wraps to the panel width; three lines about the main features were added.
  • Fixed a rare rounding error that silently replaced the last line of the description with an ellipsis on some resolutions.

0.7.45

  • The game title became a full-screen three-dimensional sign behind the menu: it drifts slowly and the letters turn almost imperceptibly.
  • Colours were tuned so the sign stays clearly visible while button labels on top of it remain crisp.
  • The pause menu was rebuilt: leaving to the menu during play now shows the same single column as the main screen.
  • Save game and every other label stays inside its button on any screen and in both languages.
  • Main-menu buttons regained their full touch size now that the title band no longer takes their height.

0.7.44

  • The main menu was rebuilt as a single column: six buttons one under another, shared width and an even step.
  • Button labels received consistent inner padding; a long line shrinks the font instead of leaving the frame.
  • The game title moved to the top frame and is localised: ROBOSOMA in English, Cyrillic spelling in the Russian build.
  • The layout is verified on 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9 screens and on the phone touch layout.

0.7.43

  • The carrier count in a building panel became a real shift: exactly as many robosomas as requested are assigned to an extractor or a workshop.
  • The nearest free robosomas, and those that become free later, take the empty places in a building shift by themselves.
  • Colonies no longer scatter: automatic mining stays on their own deposits, and sending a robosoma to a distant one is a player order.
  • Algorithms no longer compete over the same robosoma, so units stopped leaving a colony and immediately walking back.
  • The same distribution rules apply to the AI opponent.

0.7.42

  • All main-menu and settings buttons use one touch-friendly size.
  • Screen settings are split into Map, Frame and Effects pages instead of shrinking a crowded layout.
  • A dedicated Info tab contains privacy and support links.
  • Russian and English guide frames were refreshed from the actual release build.
  • The Windows build remains one self-contained executable; Android remains arm64 with target API 36.

0.7.41

  • Russian and English interfaces with automatic device-language selection.
  • Construction errors, deposit cards, building panels and dynamic hints translated.
  • The landing sequence locks the interface until the introduction ends.
  • The Windows build is one self-contained executable with music, map and models embedded.
  • Android package: ru.robosoma.game, target API 36, arm64.
